Crowing about commitment to our niche is easy and important to do, however this doesn’t just happen without the right team with up to date skills. Without trying to read like a Chappie’s chewing gum wrapper, did you know there is a minimum of 18 hours of CPD (Continuing Professional Development) required per team member each calendar year? The pass mark for exams written is 65% and higher. We however offer to fund at least double this amount of training, such are the lengths SATIB goes to each year to make sure that the quality of service and advice offered by our brokers is relevant and up to date.

 

Have you ever asked your broker how much time they have spent on a particular class of business/subject/risk exposure that they have been cautioning you on or advising you about? Is your broker asking the questions that are relevant to your exposure(s)? Does your broker understand your business? We encourage you to ask your broker how much research or knowledge they have on specific subjects. Ask if they have been on training for such significant and specialised insurance such as Cyber-crime, D&O, Liability, Motor or Property insurance.
